Fred Thompson is not a true conservative. He is merely another neo-con looking to further his objectives. In as much as his campaign was hyped by the media there has been very little follow through. Fred Thompson's numbers were amazing then he entered the race and took part in a debate yet, instead of astounding crowds he merely bored them. Thompson is incapable of astounding crowds and he is surely not a conservative. He would continue the Constitutional eroding, he would continue to work towards a national ID card and he will continue towards the formation of the North American Union. None of those policies represent true conservatism. They represent a neo-conservative agenda. The same one that is currently disaffecting so many American citizens. The only true conservative running as a Republican is Ron Paul.

Ron Paul wishes to rid Americans of big government, he wants to see the end of the organized distruction of the middle-class and he wishes to bring our troops home as well as secure our borders. A true conservative does not destroy American citizens freedoms nor engage in costly foriegn wars against a tactic. A true conservative sees a limited role in government based upon our Constitution. So when the primaries roll around there is only one true conservative for anyone to vote for and that is not Fred Thompson but Ron Paul.
