Inside, the truck looks big and comfortable like one would expect. I couldn't help wondering how many cows had to be sacrificed to cover this thing in leather? The answer has to be, "Lots". Well, all those stitched hides sure make the inside look rich and luxurious. The seats are 6-way power with lumbar support. The instrument panel is very well designed and features large easy-read gages bordered with brushed aluminum and black plastic accents. The bow-tie emblem caps off the center of the steering wheel as radio controls and other control tabs attach to the outer edges.

While I stood next to the "Big Dually", as this thing is affectionately called, the most obvious impression is this 2008 Silverado 3500HD 4X4 is one big powerful truck. This thing is "Shock and Awe" truck style. It stands six foot eight inches at its highest point. As I gazed up, I instinctively stumbled back a few steps because I was suddenly intimidated by it's hulking steel mass. Suddenly, I wondered if I really wanted to drive this big thing.

Right on cue, Mr. Spivey bounded out of the showroom, "Hey, I found the keys....are you ready for that test drive?" Maybe it was the sun and the oppressive heat, but I surprised myself with my response to Mr. Spivey's question. I sheepishly responded; "Well, I'm not feeling well right now Mr. Spivey....maybe we'll do this some other time. I'll never forget the puzzled look on his young face as I turned and walked back to my little non-intimidating car and drove away.
