Oh Los Angeles, what a place. City of fame, dreams and searching souls.
In my life I have been there quite a few times and at one point lived there for a few months. Some say that it's special because of all the famous secrets that hide within the hills. Some say it's special because of the ocean and the colorful people singing and dancing on Venice Beach. Some say that shopping on Melrose Ave. is therapy. However, I think that shopping on Melrose is just an easy way to go bankrupt. When I'm staying in that beautiful city I try to notice the small things. The things that I am unable to find in Ontario.

The ocean waves that line the beaches with seaweed. The dolphins that jump in the sunset. The Tarot Reader sitting in her booth under a palm tree with the sand between her toes. The beach cafes and bars. The way the early September air is warm and yet crisp as it brushes through the palms and across my face. There are so many reason why I love Los Angeles I have family and friends there, I love to travel but it always comes back to the warm beach and salty air. When I am in LA all I want to do is be close to the water. I love the way the moon's silvery glow reflects off the waves below. I feel safe there even though I know that it is not really a safe place to be alone at night. I feel at home on Venice Beach. So you ask, why do I love Los Angeles?
For the strong ocean waves and the peace it brings to my heart.
