This is a story that well some might not believe unless you were there yourself. My husband and I were at the State Park Pier on a summer evening and as a matter of fact not even catching anything much. I read a lot when I go to the pier , the lights are just right for me to see good . I was engrossed in one of the many novels I read and all of a sudden, it happened so fast it seemed like a blur. My rod and reel started moving , away from the arm of my chair, up and over the railing. I jumped for it but only managed to flatten my folding chair I was sitting in. I didn't know what had taken it over and for just a few extra glimpse we could still see it going out . I was just sick about it , my husband is so particular about his fishing stuff, all I could do was cry. I told him why didn't we just try and see if we could retrieve it. So we started looking where it had sunk, and started dragging the bottom. After while of doing this we were about to give up and call it a night. I wanted to drag a couple more times and luckily he felt something , one more sweep there it was and low and behold the fish was still on there. To our amazement it was a black tip shark, about 2 feet long , fighting like it was a 6 footer. Also we did have one guy that was still on the pier with us or this might be one of the fish stories nobody believed.
