It is a great controversy, but i thought about it a lot many times. So i have decided that I strongly say No. I Live in India. India is still developing country, People are still in the old ages. They are not fast enough to understand what it really needs to comfort others. It looks awkward when a woman breastfeed the kid in front of other people. A lot of women are shy, they don't like it when they see a woman feeding a baby in the public. They are a lot of problems involved.
1). Everybody keeps staring at the female who is feeding.
2). Women around feel really uncomfortable.
3). Something can happen like Jim carry does in a movie.
4). Not safe due to dust.
There are a lot of reasons behind saying no. Everything cant be explained. Some words come out in this writing, some others feelings are stuck in the heart, don't know how to come out.
Instead of feeding a kid in a public area, small rooms can be allotted for this purpose. May be in bus stops, air port, shops, any other locations if it is really needed. If they have some shawls or some material to cover up while feeding, it doesn't look bad. But when they just wear a t shirt and breastfeed, it would become an expose which is not appreciated in India.
