From producer Jennifer Lopez comes another hip hop movie, "Feel the Noise". The movie is about a troubled teenager who is forced to go to Puerto Rico to live with his father. While hes in Puerto Rico, the young man meets some chicks, local thugs and ponders his morals and dreams. Later deciding with his buddy to become a reggaeton star. Sound familiar?
The movie feels like yet another remake of any other hip hop movie scene, as if J. Lo spent one weekend trying something new. The "follow your dreams cliche" is not to be missed and I wouldn't see it again. Although, if you're a freshman in highschool or an Omarion fan who has many distractions you might find it entertaining.
Today's movie goers should agree that with the movie industry they continue to copy-cat and remake old hits. The problem is people will become tired of it. Honestly, how much more money can sequels and remakes accumulate? Where are the screen writers? Where is the creativity? Wouldn't it just be nice if one day, you walk into a movie theater, look through the list of show times and notice something truly new and original playing? One day soon someone will come up with a great idea for a movie, a good writer perhaps. When that day comes... Ill be there.
