Illegal immigrants! We all look around suspiciously looking for the people that would dare to try to steal our rights, but the truth is we are all immigrants, none of our ancestors were here before Columbus ventured to the west side of the world, and proved the world wasn't flat. This statement only excludes the Native American People.
As for the statement illegal,
The pilgrims, were on the run from the British government because the government demanded that they all worship God the same way in the same settings, they wanted freedom from oppression, the servants and slaves were searching for a refuge, aristocrats, a chance to expanse their assets.
Not all these people were looking for a way to help build a nation, America ,mold a new society, they all wanted there own personal lives to be better, but a few visionary individuals taught them that together we can make a great people, they taught their people from multiple nationalities to share the land ,the wealth, and their lives.
I understand that some people are upset, angry or even enraged that illegal immigrants are eating OUR food and stealing OUR jobs, and living in OUR shelters, and are hence a burden, and part of the reason that there are so many unemployed and homeless on OUR streets.
That may be true, but if more people are eating food and living in houses doesn't that mean that more food and more houses have to be built, resulting in more jobs for the 'worthy' Americans, also if there are more people doing jobs don't we run more effectively as a nation.
Many people that are economically a burden, are that way because they chose to be I have no sympathy for them.
( Sometimes things happen to us that are completely out of our control, and that I understand that completely)
With that said I would have to take up the Bibles approach,
"Care for the fatherless and the widows,. the elderly..."
But I have to admit I respect this approach concerning adults,
"He who doesn't work shall not eat."
Concerning all people,
"Love your neighbor as you love yourself,.............love each other as I (Jesus) have loved you, love each other as yourself."
