Is the Over-Emphasis of Hitler in Schools Leading to the Formation of New Neo-Nazi Youth Groups?

The late William Patrick Hitler, the only son of Alois Hitler, Jr., and his Irish-born wife Bridget Dowling, served in the US Navy and the Naval Medical Corps before being discharged in 1947, after being wounded during the course of the war. After leaving the service he changed his last name to Stuart-Houston, married a German woman, moved to Patchogue on Long Island, New York, and had four sons.

He used his medical training to establish a business analysing blood samples for hospitals. Check out the site about Hitler's relatives on Wikipedia at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W illiam_Patrick_Hitler. What happened to his other family? How would they feel talking to a genealogist? Would Hitler's living descendants want the Holocaust to be emphasized more in schools and Hitler less emphasized? What do you think? Here's a bibliography at the end of this article for you to read. Make up your own mind.

The public assumes that Hitler's relatives hated Hitler's ideology. Great. But did they memorialize Hitler's name in memory of or in a celebration of life for a family connection? Is family love thicker than public ideology?

If Hitler wasn't so over-emphasized, how come the late William Patrick gave his eldest son (born in 1949) the middle name of Adolph, according to the Wikipedia Web site? And of all the names to change one's name to, how come, it has been said, that the late Patrick's adopted name of Stuart-Houston sounds like the moniker of the much publicized British anti-Semitic ideologist, Houston Stewart Chamberlain? Was Chamberlain a Nazi sympathizer in the 1940s? Who knows. You do the research. The foot notes are on the Wikipedia Web site. And who knows what information or footnotes are correct or not from the Web site?

My gut feeling says that William rejected Nazi beliefs and had embraced the American Dream. After all, he had been wounded fighting for the US during World War II. But something bothers me. Of course. If he was over-emphasizing Hitler, would the military have taken him in like a son? Again, do your own research. You can't believe everything you read, but you can't dismiss everything either until you find out the real facts. That's why I get this gut feeling of "what if." Then I think about Charles Lindbergh's ideologies during World War Two. Why do a few American heroes have those ideologies that Lindbergh had? Why did Ford have those ideologies and
