Female celebrities were being depicted in editorials wearing low risers and showing their thongs yesterday and today young males are strutting about the streets revealing their boxers, and sometimes more. My point is either way it goes, it's disrespectful and it's distasteful. In public, unless you're on a beach don't expose what's underneath your clothes. Fashion dictates to us and yes we have the freedom to express ourselves but there should be limits.

Banning belt-less pants is necessary because it sends out negative signals to kids who are ignorant of its origin. It's not cool to express yourself by showing what's inside your pants. My eighty year old father who passed away three years ago, lived to see this unfortunate trend and was in shock, he asked where the parents were, good question, where are they? Please do not make excuses for kids being raised in a single household. I am a single mother of two teenagers and I can assure you my fifteen year old son wears his shirt tucked into his belted pants without any hesitation because he knows respect and he knows that this style of dressing depicts ignorance.
In reality it's not only kids dressing this way but grown men as well, who have already served time in the penal system and could care less about setting a positive example for our young ones. Banning belt-less pants may seem unfair to kids who follow this trend but in all reality they are penalizing themselves everytime they walk out of the house.
