Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! It about time. Finally a worth while debate. Coming from a country where women proudly breastfeed their babies in public, I definitely have a lot to say. There are countries where women are breastfeeding everywhere; on the bus, at train stops, the park everywhere and it is the norm because those countries are truly liberated! Not freedom by fundamental rights only but also mentally that their society is more open minded.

We are all aware that 'breast milk' is best and I believe that, a woman providing that she is comfortable with her body and want to nurse an hungry child, especially a hungry screaming child, be it anywhere, that the choice totally up to her. She does not have to be totally exposed, using a blanket or partial clothing is fine.

I find that the large G8 countries where technology is moving faster than time there is a serious issue in which common sense is lacking and I find debating breastfeeding in public very ancient for crying out loud. I have a little boy not yet two years old and he would sometimes squeeze my tummy and say, "mama baby". Now if an infant knows where babies come from shouldn't society know and be comfortable with the human anatomy?

When I first migrated I was shocked needless to say appalled to see a couple having sex at the bus stop and it was quite obvious but of course I looked like the bad guy because I could not stop staring. I finally looked at the bright side, they were happy and showing affection, even though its not the most appropriate place. If society look at the positive instead of the negative we could then advance to more serious world issues than a baby getting much needed milk from mom.
