One of the main reasons for this change in our eating habits is the rise in the number of women who are now working full time. This in turn has led to a major rise in the accessibility of convenience and junk foods. We all know that eating fast foods on a daily basis is not healthy but consider it handy and make our relevant excuses not to eat a healthy diet.
Children often choose a low nutrient diet lacking the protein needed for their growth and there can be dire consequences in a family where the child has elected to be a vegetarian, but the parents haven't. This often results in the child eating the same meal as the parents, just without the meat, which leads to a protein deficiency, as he is not receiving any protein substitute for the meat.

Ongoing research is continually showing us that the majority of our health problems arrive from a malfunction in our immune system, our first line of defense, for preventing or curing an illness. The problem here is that modern living combined with poor nutrition, stresses our immune system, rather that strengthening it.
These days we no longer eat to live but strangely live to eat. In a moderately short time our food has changed, no longer containing the content and goodness of old, this is why I myself always choose organic. Did you know that you will need to eat five apples today to find the same nutrient content that was in one apple half a century ago.
Our whole way of living has changed, modern farming methods, the air that we breathe, the water we drink, leaving us exposed to thousands of chemicals, pesticides, drugs, detergents and food additives. Most of us eat more calories than we need, but at the same time need more nutrients to cope with the additional stress and pollution. If you have a problem with your weight then it's more than likely that you have a protein deficiency.
Other signs of a protein deficiency include, lack of concentration, regular infections, slow growing hair and nails, low blood pressure, premature aging and rounded shoulders.
