Tips for finding online freelance writing jobs

How to Find Online Freelance Medical, Health, or Nutrition Writing Careers

If you can learn some medical terminology, it's easy to find online freelance writing, editing, or book indexing assignments working with the healthcare industry, ghostwriting or co-authoring books with physicians, or writing health news for trade journals.

Another venue is to transfer medical transcription skills to medical writing, editing, or indexing. Or you could continue your education to become a medical librarian or medical language teacher or trade journal reporter or editor.
Another career possibility is to become a technical writer and specialize in one area of technical writing such as indexing medical textbooks. Community colleges offer degrees in technical communications. Another field is traveling to conventions and conferences to design and create medical newsletters or summarize what was presented at the conferences for a newsletter or medical newspaper. Medical economics publications also use writers with good verbal skills to report on the business end of a medical, pharmaceutical, or
