What to wear? Every man should have in his closet essential wardrobe items. Creating a great wardrobe takes planning and organizing. Take a day to remove all clothes from closet and look over what can be donated or thrown out. Grab a pen and paper to make a list of clothes to purchase in the future while revamping the wardrobe closet.

Essential Wardrobe Items For A Man's Closet

1) The classic black suit, belt, and dress shoes are a must for every man's wardrobe. The suit should be single breasted, no trendy cut, and tailored to fit his physique. This suit is to be worn for important occasions, such as, funerals, weddings, formal dinners, and job interviews.

2) A comfortable navy or gray suit should be available for everyday wear. Look in the mirror and experiment with putting together outfits by wearing jacket with other khaki pants. Create a sporty look with blazer and jeans.

3) Solid color ties and diagonal pattern ties to interchange and wear with suits or dress shirts.

4) Must have a white dress shirt and not used for casual wear. Wear shirt with a suit or alone with suit pants. A pair of cuff links will dress it up.

5) Cotton polo shirts or wool that can be worn under a blazer or alone on the golf course.

6) Khaki pants and dark blue jeans for casual wear. Both pants can be worn with a sweater, button down color-coordinated shirt, or a polo shirt. For a tailored look wear a button down shirt underneath a v-neck or collar sweater allowing collar and cuffs to show. Dress shirt and tie goes well with Khaki pants for working at the office.

7) A brown belt and brown shoes for wearing with casual outfit such as, khaki pants or jeans. Penny loafers or wingtips are not casual wear.

8) A pair of inexpensive black dress pants for unexpected occasions that call for dress shirt and black shoes required.

9) Versatile trench coat that can even be worn with jeans.

10) Hard, soft, or bag style briefcase to carry essential items, such as, books, documents, or other important papers.

Now begin building wardrobe for other outings, such as, western wear, swimming at the beach, jogging, hunting, fishing, and workout gear. Don't forget to include accessories, such as, hats, watches, cuff links, sunglasses, wallets, bracelets, rings, or necklaces.

In every man's closet there should be his essential wardrobe items that reflect his personality and lifestyle.
