A Walk In The Park
Look forward to April in Ealing.
When the Spring is in the air.
When the Winter months are over
and the trees no longer bare.
The parks are full of blossom
and the flowers are peeking through.
But will our towns and streets be clean
it's down to me and you.
Make your New Year's Resolutions.
Don't drop litter on the ground.
Tidy up as you go along.
It's better all around.
Let's clean up graffiti and rubbish.
Not hang our heads in shame.
We were once the queen of the suburbs.
We can be so again.
So look forward to the Springtime.
When the days are no longer dark.
And the towns are bright and gleaming.
And take a walk in the park.

Batter and dredge. Who needs this space?
Pound and pounce. Damn the consequences
The delicate balance. A nuisance of progress
