It would appear to be the most important goal for the United States government, outside of national security, would be to ensure and promote an education for its citizens. There is a technical, social, and moral obligation to achieve as high of an output of highly educated citizens as possible. This nation will spend billions of dollars on bombs to bomb their ideological enemies into the stone age, they will send hundreds of millions on foreign aid per ante, they support a useless and bureau-cratically corrupt system of waste, by alignment with the United Nations, yet, to get an education is not easy to achieve.

There would be great returns on the investment into the citizenry of an educated class. There would be a greater socially participating class of citizens. Those who are qualified to fill the high-tech or even the blue collar labor force. The higher the education, in general the higher the wages are, thus, the higher the tax base would be. It is morally suspect to lure young men and women into the armed services with the promise of education. The poor man/woman with a sense of duty and patriotism will jump on that without thinking. Yet, the stickler is that one must become government chattel, and risk life and limb, at the whim and fancy of the social elite, president first, and then the catering to big business, because it must be for certain that "There are no nations, just large corporations flying the flag of the day" ( Paul Rodgers, Bad Company...Joe Fabulous).

I served in the Marines. Was honorably discharged, and then served in a reserve Naval Construction Battalion. There were many years in between the two services and serving. The first time I was in the government had just changed from the Vietnam era of free education, unto a participation type of program called VEAP. Where for every dollar I saved as a Marine, the Feds would match it plus one. However, after saving my $3,500.00 dollars, on a meager pay to boot, at the sum of 75 dollars every two weeks, leaving me a whopping 270 dollar take home, for two weeks mind you, I thought I was ready to go to school. Yet, when the time rolled around for discharge and seperation from Uncle Sam's Misguided Children, the economy was crappola. And I had to use the savings to exist on instead of the intended purpose of educating myself.

I am still continuing my education. I believe that education is the key to the balance of economics and social security. It promotes a relatively long term commitment. It establishes a sense of greater purpose than just a mere drudgery of existence. The mutual exchange between the investment of the U.S. Government in education is paid back well over and again by the educated persons' ability to exist in dignified comfort with the comfort and promise of prosperity for both for the individual and the country.

This nation has lost its soul. Corporate America is in charge, the poor on the welfare dole produce more heads of children because that is how they are compensated. These children grow up in fatherless homes, with siblings that become the reflection of their environment. It is a vicious circle of life. It leads to gangs, gang violence, drug and alcohol abuse and pre-teen and teenage pregnancies. The crime rate is a shameful statistic, America leads the rest of the Western world in crime, drug abuse, divorce, pornographic and sexual dysfunctional ism, murder and the list goes on ad nauseum.

I would only theorize that when educated, and everyone can be educated, some to a lessor extent due to their natural mental limitations, than others, but educated nonetheless. I would believe that their would be a general change of social disregard and self damning perceptions when the ego and spirit of a hopeless man/woman is built up. The birth to grave ruts that are passed on from generation to generation, could be filled in and built upon, rather than used for the same path of existence that has always been available to an under educated class of people. Along with education, and I mean totally free education with placement of such being qualified by examination alone, and not private schooling's selectivity or affirmative action inequality type of mush, is the way to achieve a higher classed citizenry. Health care is my next dialogue. Hope to see you reading it. Have a great day.
