NIGHTMARE
It would never have happened
except for apathy:
They changed our Constitution.
Now we're no longer free.
A Nation stood bewildered
as our flag fell to the ground,
each heart so filled with horror
the silence was profound.
No one could believe it.
Whatever happened to common sense?
Too Late. We should have spoken up.
Now screams profound silence.

A Nation stood
by Teagan West
Nightmares
Haunting me as I sleep
Dragging up my past
In the darkness
I cry to myself
As the nightmares come
In my nightmares
I
I stay awake so long so I can breathe
Lying in this dream, tossed upon the ocean
Crashing down. memories vanish
Disapperance
I close my eyes and feel consciousness slipping away
The colors and sounds fade
And I am left deaf and blind
Searching for something,
A Mother's Nightmare
Three little children
Nodding off to sleep,
Quiet as a mouse
Afraid to make a peep.
Daddy's still awake,
Better
