Rather than relating researched articles and information which abound aplenty, I'd like to recount my firm conviction that our beautiful yellow skyward orb definitely holds an effect on bodies. Anything as powerful as the moon being strong enough to change our tides can certainly affect at least the moods of not only animals but human beings also. Most characterize mood changes with only the "full" moon. Not so! My own personal experiences have been outright temper tantrums two days before the first quarter, right smack-dab on the moon's third quarter and one day before the last quarter. Interesting that I'm rarely affected by the full moon but that's probably just my body. Maybe someone else experiences mood swings on the full moon only.

I worked as a secretary for one man for many years and found that I never needed a calendar to know the moon phases. After years of conflicts, I learned to avoid confrontations by checking moon phases the start of each week.

My two cats are absolutely affected by the pull of the moon. Thankfully, each are not affected by the same phase. One has only to visit the zoo periodically to determine the effect of the moon on animals and one has only to observe our fellow human beings to ascertain it's effect on our emotions.
