Finding My Way
All of my life I have been all alone
Never finding a place to call home
Beaten and abused so many times
With nothing to eat during mealtimes
I long in my heart to find my way
Hoping I will find it just any day
The "WAY" avoids me like others do
Friends to help? No. . . I have very few
I lie myself down to sleep in the night
In my dreams I can take heavenly flight
When the Lord comes to call His children home
From this earth no more to roam
My way I try to find every day
Not knowing where to go nor what to say
I know I soon will close my eyes in death
Then I will at long last. . . be at rest
