College student's guide to vacationing in Miami's South Beach

Miami South Beach, spring break paradise for many of us, Its been the center of the nightlife and party scene in central Florida for years now. The getaway for many college students, like myself, who spend their days worrying about papers that are due and classes to be on time for. South Beach has also been the destination of choice for many films and fashion shoots due to its beautiful views along Ocean Drive. During the day the beach is filled with fun to be had. Models, Harleys and many rollerbladers are a common sight to be seen.

If you're planning to hit spring break with us and want to be smart at the same time,I suggest the following things to get you on your way to having a blast.

First off, you had better be ready to dress to impress, especially if you plan on hitting the club scene. Miami South Beach is THE place to party. Single? Not to worry, bring your friends and plan on meeting some amazing people here!
At night the streets light up, everywhere you look you'll find a great party, some good food and awesome music. My personal favorite club is Club Deuce which is located on 14th st, not too far from Ocean Drive. You should purchase a map so that you don't waste time getting lost or looking for things.
If you need to know something while you're in South Beach, it would be well worth checking out the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau or the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. They can offer you any assistance you need. Other great places worth checking out during the day include: The Art Deco District Tour, this tour will show you around town, pointing out all the neat details of the city's appearance.
The Miami Metro Zoo, Monkey Jungle, and Miami Seaquarium are great places to stop by as well.
If you dont have time to waste appreciating the structure of the city, or visiting Miami's wildlife (which I know that on spring break I wouldn't be).You can check out hundreds of the city's restaurants, many of which are world famous for. Love to shop?
There are many boutiques and stores all throughout Miami's South Beach area, from the well known Versacce boutique to tourist shops such as Meet Me In Miami Inc. No matter what your style or budget, there is something here for you. Want to roll like a celebrity? Rent a Limousine from Dolphin Limousine.

There's so much that Miami South Beach has to offer.

Just be sure to plan ahead, check into the places you want to go before hand, bring lots of sunblock and be ready to have some fun! Hope to see you there on spring break!
