Nero 8 - One Step Forward Two Steps Back 3/5 Stars.
I like Nero. I have always used this software for CD/DVD burning, but this latest version is far too big for what it delivers. It also uses far too much memory and CPU power. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for in a DVD/CD burning software, but for me, it is the ability to burn and rip CD's.
Nero 8 still does all that, but it has included an add on similar to Windows Media Edition. This is the main cause of a lot of software issues. It caused a lot of errors on my system and used up far too many resources. I think it has gone too far.
Support for Vista is welcome, but sometimes I think the more that software is updated and changed they take it too far. Nero 8 is slower at burning discs than previous editions. All in all. I don't like it much and uninstalling it was not easy either.
