Besides the romance of living in a place filled with the mystery and wonder of mountains, pronounced weather and endless outdoor activities, living on a ski resort is just plain convenient especially for snow sports enthusiasts. There really is something for everyone at a ski resort and the good ones make sure of that. Many upscale and family resorts offer a wide range of shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities that make it easy to maintain the on-mountain/off-mountain balance. While many ski towns are low in permanent resident populations, thanks to tourism the quality of restaurants on and off the mountain are generally high and believe it or not quality and affordable does happen. A ski resort is often a place friends and family are happy to visit and guests are easily entertained whether they ski or not.
Yes, living on a ski resort is lovely but how about the freebies and discounts? That's right, most resorts offer season pass holders, homeowners and employees special discounts and freebies that you usually would not get otherwise. Finally, because most people living on a ski resort are where they love to be, doing what they love to do, the environment and community is warm and people are friendly. Meeting people is convenient and by living in such a unique place, chances are you and your neighbors will have much in common already. Bottom line: living on a ski resort pretty much guarantees a good social scene for a wide range of people.
A slower pace of life with the perks of fast city and high quality social lives, dining, and entertainment make living on a ski resort quite attractive. Whether it is a primary or secondary residence, the lifestyle is tough to beat and your skiing will definitely improve, guaranteed.
