Global warming: What's the real truth?

The Inconvenient Truth: Myth Named "Global Warming"

I'm sure you've heard the idea of Global Warming and the hundreds to even thousand of scientists that support it. Well in fact, did you know there are even hundreds to thousands of scientists that don't support the idea of Global Warming. Over 17,000 well-qualified scientists have signed the Oregon Institute Petition (www.oism.org/oism/s32p31.htm) claiming that there is not convincing scientific evidence of Global Warming.

Another example of scientists denouncing evidence was by Dr. Frederick Seitz. When the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) came out with its 1995 assessment on Climate Change; Dr. Seitz, president of Rockefeller University and past president of the National Academy of Sciences, disagrees with the recent IPCC report saying: "I have never witnessed a more disturbing corruption of the peer-review process than the events that led to this IPCC reports". Even Dr. Benjamin Santer, lead author of that IPCC report (on their side) said: "it will be hard to say, with confidence that an anthropogenic climate signal has or has not been detected." Now, lets take a look at some scientific evidence.

Global warming alarmists point out temperature measurements showing 1997 was the hottest year on the record. But U.S. government and NASA Satellites rank 1997 as the 7th coolest year since readings started in 1979. Another theme activists pick out is how we've had more hurricanes with higher intensity. Once again science proves this wrong; according to the National Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory, there's been a significant decrease both in intensity and number of hurricanes. Then there are CO2 emissions.

On Al Gore's video, Mr. Gore made the statement: "Human's are causing most of the world's CO2 emissions". But by NASA's 2004 study, humans only cause 2% of the world's CO2 emissions while 98% of CO2 emissions are natural. The studies you've seen that say humans cause over 20% of the World's CO2 emissions were only done near cities. Same goes for the studies that say decaying matter makes 60% of emissions; those were only done at city land fills. You must take in all the dead and decaying fish, plants, birds, trash and other things that decay; which all that emits a lot of CO2. Even a recent Gallup poll (taken in 2005) found that only 17% of members of the Meteorological Society and the American Geophysical Society agree that Human actions are causing global warming.

Of course none of this
