Testimonies: The joys of being pregnant

Being pregnant is a joy in itself. From the moment you discover that you are in fact pregnant, whether it's been planned or not, you feel that flutter of happiness. For the first few months, you wonder if you really are, aside from the morning sickness you might experience.
In the last trimester of my 3rd pregnancy, I didn't experience much in way of morning sickness from any of the pregnancies. I was very thankful for that. Sure, there were the annoying cravings, days when all I wanted to do was sleep, and of course the hormones. But then there is the good things. Like the first ultrasound, seeing the baby's heartbeat, and tiny movements. Finding out your due date. The second ultrasound, if you are lucky, tells you what the sex of your baby is.

Then there is the movements. First it feels like butterflies fluttering around, or gas bubbles, or just twitches. Then you start to feel harder kicks, and your significant other still can feel but gets anxious to be able to feel it. Then finally you can see and feel those kicks and movements on the outside.
People want to place their hands on your belly to feel if baby is moving. They tell you that you are positively glowing. Asking when baby is due, how much more time.
Then the best comes. Feeling those contractions. Of course, it's not comfortable, but you know it means that your little darling is finally on it's way. All that you have gone through up til now is going to end and you can finally hold that baby in your arms, and you will smile down at them for the first time.
