Whoops! (Pardon Me) - A Silly Bit Of Mistaken Poetry
Whoops! It dropped again
Folks, please, don't mind the mess
Just kick it to the corner
There, behind the chest.
Careless, to wear it on my sleeve
Or put the contents in a letter
I've almost lost it once before!
(I really should know better)
Since then I've tried to hide it
To keep it safe and sound
I let it see some daylight
Now the damned thing's on the ground!
Shameless, it lies there beating
For all to plainly see
I should've never held it in my hands
(It always tries to lead)
If only it were harder
Perhaps it'd have more bounce
Just my luck, I've got a soft one
It doesn't stand a chance.
Stomping's way too easy
So, please, just give it back
(A little time and super-glue
Should help to mend those cracks)

PERCEPTIONS
Getting it wrong is too easy, I fear,
It is one of my talents - just one.
How many times did think I could hear

Words of Sympathy
It seems like it was just yesterday
That I saw that warm smile on your face
How long was it ago
That you left
To Err
To err is human,
to forgive divine
But why do the errs
always have to be mine?
It's hard to be perfect
right all the time
and
by Olive Lewis
Just a mistake waiting to happen,
I was conceived in the heat of passion.
I don't know why I came to this earth,
Or why I was
Love contains none of its mistakes as fakes,
to be left still all undone in you.
A mistake is only an illusion of fear still
