Anyone that thinks Iran has been playing Yatzee with the US and our allies has to have been educated during the baby boomer days to the present in one of our wonderful "waste of time" public schools in the US. What's to misunderstand about the statement by Mahmoud, "We will kill Americans and we are at war with the Americans and their allies"? DUH. This is usually followed up by, "Iran will destroy Israel and the Jewish People will be killed".

Those who have their head buried in the sand like an Ostrich say they believe that we should negotiate with Iran. Let's see now, Mr. Mahmoud, will you chop my head off from left to right instead of right to left? Oh yes, and also could you arrange to kill me after you kill my kids? What may I give you to do this for me. Then we can be friends. I am so sorry Mr. Mahmoud that I have been a terrible Christian and going to church. Mr. Mahmoud, what else would you like for me to do and what will it cost me. Do I have to pay you before you chop off my head or after? Oh please Mr. Mahmoud, let's negotiate.

Iran, in fact is playing for time until it has nuclear war capability. Some estimate two years, however I would guess that they will bring in a Nuclear Bomb and incinerate one of our major cities. What would we in the US do? The president cannot do anything to protect the rest of the cities without going to Congress and getting Congressional Approval. When he goes to Congress, Congress will, as usual, suggest that he will have to petition the United Nations. Then he will have to seek Congressional approval. Meanwhile, puff-there goes San Francisco, puff there goes Chicago, and puff there goes Philly.

By now some Americans may agree that we may approach Iran through our Ambassadors and accuse them of the destruction of these cities. But, our hands will be even further tied, as they will deny that they had anything to do with these events. Congress will demand that we make sure who did the damage and decimated a handful of our US cities. Oops, there goes another puff. Seattle just disappeared. Maybe we better speed up negotiations up a bit.

Iran has been backing Syria and in cahoots with securing nuclear weapons capability from Russia, North Korea and getting Syria set up with nuclear capabilities. Of course we all know that this is said to be for electrical power for their homes and factories. There is one bit of hope in the fact that Israel attacked the nuclear and missile site in Syria. Why has Iran not complained about that attack by Israel? Why has Syria not complained about that attack? If anyone thinks that they are afraid of hurting our feelings then how can it be that they have put us on warning about their intent to kill Israelis and Americans?

Someone has to say it, we should wipe out Iran with nuclear missiles right now. It would be the lesser of two evils. Sit by, waste time and play the game of attrition where Iran gets more and more capability to kill Americans and take over the US. If we wait we will finally, in the end be persuaded to launch a major nuclear war as a last resort to save the remaining US cities after the first half dozen are the victims of nuclear destruction.

In the final analysis I would say that the war is on now and has been for some time. In the end we will lose many more lives because we did not face up to our problem with Iran.
