Has the prevalence of false ads led people to become jaded? People are tired of being constantly exposed to misleading and false advertisements. People are weary of being deceived by companies into buying products that do not meet the standards of quality,price and value that the advertisers lead them to believe.
Bait and switch is a technique used by advertisers and companies to lure customers into stores in order to purchase an item at a stated discount price. When the customer arrives at the store he or she is then told by sales staff that they have run out of the item and offer to sell a similar item which is usually more expensive.
People are tired of the bait and switch and other deceitful techniques used by advertisers and companies to lure customers into their stores in order to buy goods and services that are of lower value and quality than stated by advertisers.
False advertisements not only damages consumer opinions of advertisers but make them more wary of what and what not to buy. Consumer spending is important to the economic health of any country. False advertising can lead consumers into having a lack of confidence in the quality,value and price of products available for purchase. Integrity is a good business practice that leads to sales and dishonesty is not.Consumers in America have been jaded by false advertising and other deceitful business practices. The problem is that consumers, worn out by deceptive advertising, may reduce their spending and our economy may suffer because of it.
