Decoration for a poster. I actually had the pleasure of using dyed eggshells to make a plaque of the community college system after high school. My class and I gathered up lots of eggshells. We washed them first and dyed them different colors.
Then I drew the seal of the college on this piece of wood. Then others and I glued dyed eggshells within the drawing to make the plaque. It was time consuming but was rewarding when we got through with it. This plaque went to the community college system in Raleigh, NC. I wonder if it still there now.
Eggshells can play a part in the garden too. They can be use in large portions around veggies to deter the cabbage butterfly and slug and snail too.
They say that coffee grounds and eggshells together mixed are good for a better cup pf coffee. It is said that eggshells take the bitterness out of coffee.
i am not real sure how this works. I don't want to mess up my coffee though.
I remember when my kids were in school they brought home grass or flowers sown in eggshell. They were amazed when the seeds come up.
I have thrown out eggshells in the yard to help fertilize the flowers. I know you should not throw these items in the garbage when you can use them or recycle them.
Easter eggs are a great way of recycling eggshells. I have dyed eggs to show my kids in the past. I still like to dyed them rather than put stickers on them and such.
