Choosing easy food to make or buy for Halloween can be quite difficult as there's so much to choose from. You can buy ready made Halloween themed food, sweets and cakes or you can make some yourself. Here are a few of my ideas for Halloween.

How about marzipan pumpkins with chocolates inside? Or make small marzipan characters. You could make marzipan witches, spiders, rats, and more. Or a haunted house theme cake (see one of my articles on how to make a Vegan haunted house cake). If you're making pumpkin lights around your house, don't waste the inside of the pumpkins. You could make mashed pumpkin, pumpkin soup, and pumpkin vegetarian stew. You could do some roasted vegetable shapes like ghosts and witches. And how about a black fruit cocktail punch and one alcoholic one? For effect, add some spider web decoration around the bowl and add a large theme witch or spider at the top of the bowl. You could make some Halloween theme dips and cut some raw vegetables into scary shapes. Or what about a large theme ice cream with strawberry or raspberry or chocolate sauce. Add some apple pie decorated with frosted sugar in a spider web shape and decorated with pastry ghost and grave shapes. For a rice or pasta dish mix with shaped vegetables and serve with a dark sauce. Do some fried potato skins cut into grave shapes with crosses or Halloween shape chips. Make salads using different colored lettuces. Add tomatoes, cucumbers, and radishes cut into different shapes like graves, crosses, spiders, ghosts and rats. Whatever you decide you can prepare all these before the party and serve as a buffet so you don't have to do so much on the day.
