Regarding this coming Presidential Election, Americans should not waste time preoccupying themselves with fantasy scenarios like the arrival of an impending messiah, be it Al Gore, a surviving Kennedy or an eleventh hour entry by Tom Cruise. This election not a sporting match, nor is it a game. So before the country settles into Monday Night Football election mode, the country should realize that if it were a game, this is the 2 minute warning, we've lost possession and we down by two touchdowns. You are going to the polls to save ideals which we once fought for like freedom of speech, habeas corpus and right to privacy. We are currently embroiled in an illegal war and occupation of two foreign countries with a death toll rising every day. In short you are going to the polls to preserve what is left(and hopefully win back) of our US Constitution.
After the 2000 Presidential Election, many Democrats stood back and blamed George Bush Jr's questionable victory on the shoulders of Al Gore because "he was too weak, and should've won by a landslide". Rather than blaming an openly corrupt power grab by the Republican establishment and their US Supreme Court decision, Democrats found themselves unable to handle the shock of the crime of the century- a rigged Presidential election in the state of Florida. If there is any blame to be put on Al Gore for 2000, it is that he conceded to Bush despite holding the moral high ground in the most shameful election scandal in our country's history. Now some of these same people are propping up their fallen hopeful once again as a potential savior. Americans are guilty of allowing such an affront to democracy on their own soil, yet they are still in denial and still full of guilt.
It is true that Al Gore has scored a big personal political victory with the success of his film "An Inconvenient Truth", but this does not position him well enough to have another crack at the White House. And his saint-like status as the High Priest of Global Warming is now under threat by the most unexpected of adversaries... scientific fact. Al Gore's award-winning climate-change documentary has now been officially exposed for the first time, by Britain's top court as alarmist, one-sided and littered with no less than nine 'convenient untruths'. Consequently, his film has been deemed "unfit for educational purposes" by the court ruling due to its cacophony of vague scientific conclusions and predictive assumptions. Enough evidence has now surfaced to discredit the so called science behind made-made climate change. This latest High Court judgment is proof that his film was never a scientific film, but a political one, whose sole function thus far has been to provide convenient cover a slate of new 'global warming' taxes and the new multi billion dollar 'carbon footprint' industry.
If Al Gore were to become President, we would be engulfed in the new religion of man-made climate change- taxed to high heaven and still living the lie that man could actually alter the planets climate in either direction. And like Hilary Clinton, he would tow the Washington and AIPAC line on Iraq by being pro-war, like every other Democrat. There seems to be only one man in the race right now who is running for the whole country and its future. He's Congressman Ron Paul, and he's running on a Republican ticket, and as a pure 'Constitutionalist', his agenda caters for all Americans- regardless of what side of the false Left-Right paradigm you are sitting. There's someone who is actually 'founding father material' and isn't lecturing you and I how we should live our lives. Think about that.
Al Gore 2.0 for President in 2008... consider it vaporware.
