Is any one religion better than another

The best religion is the one that produces results. What kind of results? Religious results! Not the kind based on any religious beliefs that are unseen and need blind faith. The sorts of results that we should look for, are the ones that we can see with our own eyes. We need to be able to see miracles, and healings, etc. before we can be satisfied that we have found true religion.

The Son of God did exactly those things, and he said, "you can do as I have done, and even more than this you can do!" (John 14:12). He stated that as a fact. So do we believe him? Yes, even though we don't see anything of the sort happening anywhere around us today.

No one in the Bible is asked "What is your religion?" because this was not relevant. It is not a valid question because there is only one true religion. This is the same religion that was experienced by those people who are spoken of throughout the Bible and also by those who had enough of a relationship with the Holy Spirit to write it.

We are so used to the fact that no one religion can produce obvious and fruitful results, that we don't think to ask why not? What is wrong with all the various religions that none of them can produce a genuine and discernible relationship with God? The answer has to be that none of them is genuine!

What did the peoples of those days have that we don't have today? It is obvious from the Bible that they had open communication with the Creator God. Why? Obviously they were doing something right, that we are doing wrong!

The Jews are known as God's people, but even they don't hear from Him today, which reinforces the concept that the Jews of Biblical times were doing something that the Jews of today don't.

Christians have Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, yet they can't do as he did, much less more. So they too are doing less than the Christians of the New Testament days did.

So even while we may think we're holding to the right religion, unless it is producing concrete results such as direct communication with God, healing and miracles, we know it is not.

At least with this much information, we should know not to be satisfied with anything less. That means that we need to get off our religiously and theologically-satisfied butts and actively seek out the one true religion, wherever it is!

The sorts of results that we should look for are the ones that we can see with our own eyes. We need to personally experience contact with God, to be performing miracles and healings, etc. before we can be satisfied that we have found the one true religion.
