Finding the right clasp for bead work can be tricky. First, decide if there is a style that you're trying to achieve. Second is who is going to be using the clasp. Last, how reliable does it have to be? There are five basic types of clasps.

While it is always up to designer to choose the right clasp, I personally prefer a toggle clasp because it has style or if I am making something for child, I will use a lobster claw. Above all choose the clasp that fits you and your project; there is no right answer.
