My experience on E-Bay.

After the Police started acting like Nazis towards the average motorist. I decided it was time to dig my bike out of the shed and use it for commuting to work.

This has done me a lot of good. I'm feeling much fitter and have more get up and go about me. I was however, becoming increasingly annoyed with suicide bombing flies targeting my eyes. I needed a pair of biking glasses to protect my peepers. E-Bay, I thought, I'll find some on E-Bay! So that's what I did. I did a search for cycling glasses and after trawling through the many available, I found a dramatically lit photograph of some devilishly attractive glasses. Not only where they cheap, but came with a free neck cord and they where named Vipers!

This was quite clearly a bargain not to be missed. I used the buy it now feature and waited in eager anticipation for my new glasses to arrive. Soon, the day came, on my return from work, waiting for me by my front door, was a package. A package containing my stylish new glasses. I ripped open the carefully sealed wrapping and found safety glasses! Safety glasses, the type worn by a man using an angle grinder. Safety glasses, that wouldn't look out of place on Biggles! I tossed them to one side, thinking for what I paid for them, it wasn't worth making the fuss about.

About a week later though, I received an e-mail from the seller. The following is the e-mail as I received it

Thank you for purchasing Bolle Viper Cycling Glasses - Clear Lens.I hope that you received it in good time and that you are satisfied with the product.

Please could I ask, that if you were satisfied with the service and the product that you please leave feedback for us on eBay. Our policy is not to leave feedback until our customers have done theirs, this way we know that you have received the goods and are satisfied with them.

Please also can we ask that if you are not happy with either our service or goods and are contemplating leaving Neutral or Negative feedback, that you contact us first in order that we can resolve any concerns that you may have.

I couldn't believe this. So, I thought I should e-mail them back and explain as to why I haven't left feed back. They had asked me to do so, after all. I did this in a polite manner, which is unusual for me, but here is the e-mail I sent them

Hi P*,

I haven't left any feedback for you on the product I bought, as I was unimpressed
