Unfortunately, women have been consistently portrayed as a sexual object in a male- orientated cinema. Nudity and sexuality do help to sell box office tickets, fuelled by the Internet age where one, can for usually a small fee, go to certain Internet sites and download nude images of female Hollywood stars from movies that they have done, or other scenes of nudity and sexuality. Or entertainment shows on television that also help foster these sales by showing lots of beautiful and sensual female Hollywood stars, sometimes in illicit love affairs, usually portrayed as being very sensual and sexual. Some female pop, rock and country performers have gone on the stage, also having done music videos in very revealing and sexy outifits.

But Hollywood has slowly evolved to bring men and women as equal in the cinema, especially as the male-orientated cinema starts to move aside for more realistic portrayals of female sexuality. Strong female roles are starting to become more commonplace, as women are increasingly playing a stronger role in all Hollywood film genres, and all top jobs in Hollywood production. There still are male-orientated cinema with women as just sex objects, but increasingly women are becoming a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood. There still is a lot of good, raunchy sex in the films, but now women are being portrayed as less "bimboish" and more equal with men. The sex has even become realistic, as even real, non-simulated sex has even been done. Three cheers for the new woman who takes her clothes off in front of the camera: they are finally portraying a far more realistic world!

I am more turned on than I ever was watching them, because I know it is the way the world now really is. The sexual exploitation is disappeaing for the more realistic portrayal of female sexuality. Hollywood has caught up with the new world by more balancing an even and realistic portrayal of female sexuality...with male sexuality. Women are seen now as more dominant and confident in their sexuality, and that reality shows. There's far less sexual exploitation, bringing a more updated version of the woman for the 21st century...a woman that knows what she wants and can go out and get it. A woman who will go out and get what she wants without feeling like a charm on some man's bracelet. Hollywood portraying woman who are strong heroines or anti-heroes also helps fuel the growth of all society in such a great evolutionary cycle that benefits us all in the end.
