Solutions for reducing or curing chronic pain are numerous. The traditional methods are costly if insurance does not cover particular treatments and often leave the sufferer with little to no relief and the feeling of hopelessness.
Holistic methods are often a quick fix for the pain, however, this is a short term relief of the pain, if there is any relief at all and it can also be very costly in that there are usually a need for repeated visits, or, the need to repeatedly buy the herbs and minerals that are used and are always expensive.
The problem with these methods is that they are expensive for most people. And,if you are on a fixed income due to your disability, the expense for Holistic methods are not covered by Medi-Cal, ever. Therefore leaving the sufferer to decide whether to give up groceries or the treatments and thereby, once again leave the sufferer feeling hopeless.
Now if you throw in a diabetic factor; the Holistic methods work, however, as stated above can be expensive in the repeated need for the herbs and minerals for the disabled person who lives on $789 a month. or anyone who has to have the same regimen as defined above, but also the therapies that are more helpful, but still expensive. This is another decision as to whether to buy the disease specific groceries or give up the therapies which should be repeated. This method also alters the lifestyle in one way or another monetarily.
Multiple traumas to the body, like incontrollable blood sugars and any surgeries can make the patient a candidate for Celtic Disease. often goes hand in hand with diabetes, causing a great deal of pain if the specific diet for this disease is not observed. And the difficulties of following this diet are great in that the patient cannot eat wheat, rye, oats, etc. in any form. Just touching these products can bring on horrific pain and a myriad of other problems.
Also, the only way to control this disease and keep the pain away is to read every food label on the foods that would be shopped for. These products are hidden in nearly everything that is sold, and labeled as "modified food starches, modified wheat products, or gluten" which is the culprit that these foods contain.
So these are just a few medical conditions that can cause chronic pain. They are overwhelming to the sufferer when they are triggered by whatever chemical in the body that begins the process.
And, traditional medicine can offer dietitians and diabetic counselors to help control the dietetic mistakes
