When it comes to beauty, San Diego raises the bar. This city caters to tourists from all over the world. The comfortable weather, sparkling beaches and historical scenery is a breath of fresh air. Whether you travel as a couple or in a family group, San Diego will satisfy your urge to enjoy every moment without a loss of memory.
Spend a day in the Wild Animal Park, just north of San Diego. Nestled in the hills of Escondido, Ca, you will feel as if you were on a Safari in Africa. Acres and acres of land encase the diverse animals. With purchase of tickets, the tram ride is free. If you lack the patience to wait, you can pay an extra $6 to move to the front of the line.
Once the tram moves, make sure you have one of the those digital cameras with a handful of SD memory cards and a second battery. Posing as a photographer will be your temporary job while cruising around the mesmerizing open land. If you love animals, be prepared to witness a shot out of "Jurassic Park." The animals are like tourists, as they come from every part of the world.
Once you complete the tram ride, take a walk through the trails. They are designated to view a closer look of the animals. If you want to be wild, purchase a ticket to ride the hot air balloon. This balloon is not like the rides in Napa, California, but you will get a glimpse of the aerial view of the park. Zoom your lenses and snap away.
Save some time to visit the shops. Scoop up a souvenir or two. Before you leave the park, commission an artist to draw a characture. An optional animal can join you in the background. What a nice end to a fabulous day of wild animal fun.
Venture off to San Diego. The Gas Light District is full of shops, clubs and restaurants. If you're in the party mood, release some energy in one of the many clubs that decorate the road like sand on a beach. Before you consider the late night extravaganza, have a nice dinner at the Prado restaurant in Balboa Park. Apprentice of Wolfgang Puck, head chef Jeff Thurston leads the cooking team. Although expensive, the setting is gorgeous and it's housed in a Spanish style building that also caters to weddings. Elect to sit on the patio to enjoy an authentic meal.
Coast across the bridge that separates Coronado from San Diego. Try to travel during the day so you can witness the best view in the city. The ocean, wind surfers, boats and high end hotels provide spark to Coronado Bay.
Once to make it across the bridge, don't worry about toll. It's free both ways. Follow
