If this gas goes up another 25 cents!........
I have been needing to get more exercise anyway!......
Haven't we all had conversations that began with similar statements since the costs of operating a vehicle have recently skyrocketed?
I can attest to my own personal threats to the auto industry of starting a boycott of personal use vehicles altogether. Standing in line at the local gas "mall" and handing the clerk $50.00 twice weekly has given me the privilege of hearing hundreds of clever retaliatory methods of getting back at Exxon-the store owners-the President-whoever it is that is trying to keep us on our toes by the constant cost adjustment.
It only seems reasonable that car manufacturers would begin searching for ways to counter the massive onslaught of alternative means of travel. Though not as much power would be available with electric cars, with our country's speed limits regulated so closely and safety being one of the biggest factors in auto purchases why wouldn't electricity powered vehicles be the answer.
Currently, my speedometer says 120MPH on it. I must admit that I have never had my vehicle over 80.
Hmmm, maybe they are finally on to something!
