Conservative Republicans are a dying breed. They are being extinguished by the money-grubbing, poll-watching arm of the National Republican Party. One only has to look at the slick packaging of GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney to see the disastrous direction that this Party has chosen to follow. Romney is not now, and never has been a conservative in any sense of the word. Yet, he is being presented as a modern-day Ronald Reagan. Mr. Romney, you are no Ronald Reagan. The GOP has been cutting their own throat with their ill-fated attempts to appeal to so-called "moderate" voters. When will they wake up and realize that they don't need to apologize for being the clear alternative to liberal Democrats who are posing a serious threat to the safety and prosperity of our country? So, who are the real GOP conservatives? Men like Duncan Hunter and Sam Brownback. Men who will never have the slightest chance at securing the 2008 nomination for President. Thanks to a Party that has abandoned their roots and conservative values in favor of money and perceived power. I am confident that the results of this strategy will undoubtedly produce an easy victory for the Democratic nominee and will leave GOP conservatives high and dry.
