The top sights to see in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico offers hundreds of attractions designed to suit every budget, and every type of traveler. There are local landmarks, historic hot spots, and restaurants that appeal everyone.

El Arco de Cabo San Lucas is one of the local landmarks that travelers come from all over the world to see. Located on the southern edge of Cabo San Lucas near the Baja peninsula, this large and all natural rock formation entices visitors from everywhere. There is a large debate among viewers as to what the formation truly looks like, and everyone sees something different.

A trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico isn't complete without a visit to The Cabo Wabo Cantina. Sammy Hagar, former lead singer for the band Van Halen, and his band mates purchased the restaurant and nightclub in 1990, and later bought them out of their shares. The nightclub has gained in popularity since the early nineties, becoming the ultimate tourist destination in the area. Hagar visits the club as often as possible, making it entirely possible that you might run into him on your trip. You can also try visiting on October 13, when he plays at the club with his band The Wabos.

The Tourist Corridor, or simply "the Corridor" as it is sometimes known, is an interesting addition to the Cabo San Lucas atmosphere. The area stretches across 20 miles of sandy beaches, connecting Cabo San Lucas with San Jose. The Tourist Corridor is highlighted by an abundance of resorts, golf courses, and private gated communities. Some of the richest and most famous throughout the world own property in the Corridor.

For travelers in Cabo San Lucas looking for a secluded and peaceful beach, look no further than the Cannery Beaches. The two beaches offer a refreshing and relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of most beaches in the area. While it may be unknown to most travelers, it is highly prized by locals for its beautiful beaches, and easy fishing access. Playa Escondida and Playa Balconcito are the two beaches, and they share a common pier.

There's also the Santa Maria Bay. Santa Maria Bay is a paradise for beach lovers, with snorkeling available, and gorgeous beaches. Or try Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach located near El Arco de Cabon San Lucas. Divorce Beach is emphasized by dangerous and churning waves, while Lover's Beach features softly flowing waves. Another famous Cabo San Lucas landmark is the Land Arch. The area is full of naturally carved rock formations in different sizes. The Los Frailes is also in this area, and seal lions are often spotted there.

Or pay a visit to Cabo during one of their many festivals. The festivals often mark the patron saints of local areas including the feast of the patron saint of Cab San Lucas. During those times, you can experience local customs, foods, and music. And make sure to stop by and see Fortuna Silva, who spins and weaves his own cotton.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico has something for everyone.
