Exploring the fear factor in human psychology

Fear is the most ancient human feeling, company of our life even before we evolved from monkeys and it's common to all other animals, when they experience dangerous situations.

It's impossible not to have fear; also the most trained person to self-control, used to practice dangerous sports or works, like deactivating mines after the end of a war, the most extreme mountain climbing, or the missions of the very trained and expert members of elite military corps, must always admit that they feel fear too, when death passes very close to them.

The problem, in fact, is not having fear or not, but to control it, not letting it turn into PANIC that makes us lose mental control, thinking and choosing ability, even our movements coordination, given that panic makes us tremble, sweat, it can block our movements, make us shout for terror and commit a lot of mistakes just when the most we would avoid them.

I also think that fear not always needs to turn into panic to stop and even damage us; when we don't know what to do against a risk felt as excessive for our possibilities, also without feeling any physical and nervous stress, we decide to not continue in what we are making, sometimes, for a scarce faith on our possibilities and sadness and delusion can be read on our face, instead of terror.

It can be a good decision because, when we realize to have reached our limits, fear tell us that we must stop, like an alarm ring; but it can be a bad decision that create damage to us for our excessive insecurity and scarce trust on ourself.
It's very difficult to mark a clear separation between these situations and judge or condemn the others, especially when danger is very high.

When, instead, we fear things that have nothing dangerous, like darkness in our bedroom, domestic pets and innocuous insects, fear becomes a psychological pathology that can have its origin in traumatic events of our childhood.
In the following years, these events seem apparently forgotten but, in reality, they are only hidden in our subconscious and affect our behaviour until unchaining an automatic fear reaction in a way we cannot dominate.

I'm not the right person to say how to cure this disturb that can make more difficult our life, but I know that fear tends to disappear when we know well its cause, until becoming easy to dominate and overcome it with calm and concentration.

People working with dangerous snakes or animals, for ex., surely make a dangerous work and they
