Walk and talk: How going for walks together can improve your relationship

will learn something new and wonderful about the person you love.

Another aspect of walking and talking, and one that might seem at first like a contradiction, is the communication of silence. In your home, when one or both of you fall silent it can feel somewhat oppressive. The tendency is to begin to believe there is a problem. However, when walking in a natural environment, silence becomes as natural as your surroundings. For a brief period the only communication between you might be the touching of hands as you both inhale the atmosphere, comfortable with each other without words. There is a great deal of truth in the lyric that says sometimes "you say it best when you say nothing at all."

Walking and talking also recharges the batteries of togetherness, closeness and love. It provides a time when, by being solely with each other, you able are to concentrate for a while on the most important person in your life, your lover. The sparkle and joy of the relationship, as well as the laugher and love, will be rekindled.

As has been seen walking and talking, apart from the physical benefits of the exercise, which can also add to your relationship, gives you an opportunity of becoming closer, learning more about your partner, and therefore helps to keep the relationship fresh, alive and loving. So make a point of taking your lover for a walk this coming weekend.
