Some fun things to try with telemarketers:

If you have caller id and can see its a answer with a fake name I like to use "Wayne residence Bruce speaking" For those who may not know Bruce Wayne is the secret identity of Batman. Get creative and see how many new names you can come up with for yourself.

Answer the phone with a fake funny business name like: Billy Bob's Taxidermy..You snuff 'em we stuff 'em. Its confusing to them and fun for you.

Try to convince them they have actually called the US Embassy in some small god forsaken country.

If they ask your the decision maker or homeowner just say "no I'm just here robbing the place" and hang up.

Whatever they are selling keep refusing to buy a totally different product. (If they are selling aluminum siding keep telling you don't need any hair care products for example)

If they ask how your doing say something like "now that the voices have stopped or now that the aliens let me go" I am doing great.

and if they ask if its a good time to call say "sure I'm just sitting naked in a tub of jello eating cheetos" I think I heard this last one on TV a few years ago but I am not sure from who so to whomever Take the credit its very funny.
