As much as all Christians try to be perfect for the Lord, it's not being realistic. We are all of carnal nature, in a world where there is more wrong than right. We'll never be perfect, We all sin and fall short of God's glory. God just wants us to do our best.
We all stumble, we all make mistakes, we say things we are sorry for later, but thanks be to the Father, who gave us life, and free will, He also gives us forgiveness. All we need to do is repent and be sincere for our wrong doings. It's harder to forgive ourselves than it is for God the Father to forgive us.
We know we have disappointed Him many times. We ask why should He forgive us? He has an unconditional love that covers all of our sins, by the shed blood of His son, Jesus Christ. God's sacrificial lamb. There is no greater love than that.
Even after Jesus was put to death, sin still remained. Jesus was raised from the dead just as God had promised. Our sin debt was paid in full, and yet we still sin against Him. Our human nature gets us into trouble if we don't stay focused on the Father.
Whenever we go through life's turmoils, satan is always there to do all he can to bring us down, and sometimes he gets us down, but the love of a forgiving Lord brings us back to the fold. We still committ little sins along the way. The thing about sin is; the smallest sin is as great as the largest sin. There is no such thing as a fib. It's a lie.
Sometimes we sin without thinking about it until the Holy Spirit starts convicting us for our wrongs. That's when we become hypocrites. Mistakes we tend to see in others, can be the same mistakes we just made.
We all, even the best of Christians, are sometimes hypocrites. Anytime we look down on another because of a lifestyle, or say something hurtful, judge someone that we don't have the right to judge, etc. we are being hypocritical. It's part of being human. It is wrong. And we to will be judged by the Father.
The problem is: we need to stay focused on Christ, and not on the world around us. We can't live for Christ, and be a part of the world. When you do something hypocritical, cry out to the Father, and get it right.
His forgiveness is vital to go on walking with Him. Then you take another step forward, and try to right the wrong that's been done, even if it means turning the other cheek.
Don't ever think you're above reproach. We all sin, we all fall short, but sin will rob you of your salvation. You will not find joy in the Lord if you don't go to the Father, and get it straightened out.
