Why not let another dirty finger from the government intrude on our lives? For some strange reason the federal government, comprised mainly of men, have decided what a woman can do with her body regarding an abortion. Our government can't decide whether or not to let homosexuals get married? Since when was it government's job to regulate our life choices? Since when does the government get to weigh in on items like Terry Schiavo? What do senators know about the condition of a woman they only heard about 10 minutes before they opened their fat mouths to comment on? So why not let the FDA get a hold of natural supplements? It's the logical progression.

We already allow our government to control our lives enough. Tugging on the strings, we are the puppets our elected officials play with. Telling us what we can and can't do. What we have to submit to and what our hard earned money will be paying for(like 2.1 billion for the FDA budget next year, up about 105 million from this year).

If it's natural what is there to worry about? If it is unsafe, is it any more unsafe than bagged salad or tainted spinach or carrot sticks? Doesn't the FDA have their mitts on all over them? Seems to me more people are finding out about e-coli after eating their Cobb salad than taking a ginseng pill in the morning before work?

Is it some huge deal that the FDA is controlling the natural supplement market? Yes. Because it is another way for the federal government to tell it's bankroll, the taxpayers, "you need us, what would you do without us?". Frankly, I'm looking for the supplement that keeps government out of my bedroom, doctor's office, grocery store, Wal-Mart, and out of my vitamins.
