Kaspersky have enjoyed a burgeoning reputation of late in the PC security market, and with the release of their latest anti-virus product, it's not hard to see why. Sporting a cleaner, more manageable and more stylish interface than previous incarnations, Kaspersky's latest release surely brings them into the mainstream market.
Featuring cutting edge heuristics to identify newly spawned malware, antirootkit protection and an in-built system restore function which can restore an infected computer to a point prior to when any infection occurred, Kaspersky also provides the opportunity of creating a rescue disk, should a PC become unbootable due to infection.
With hourly updates of virus definitions, users are guaranteed maximum protection against emerging threats. Navigation is simple with most configuration options easily and quickly accessible, without being daunting for novice users.
Kaspersky Antivirus 7 takes up little disk-space and is very light on system resources, while also being able to ease back on resources, depending on user activity. It can also be set to scan only recently changed files, greatly shortening scan times as a result.
For those who take PC security seriously, Kaspersky Antivirus 7 scores 5/5 and is a great choice for beginners and seasoned PC users alike.
