There's allot on the line for Jose Reyes. Not only is he the fastest base runner in the game today. But, he is a better base stealer then Rickey Henderson. Jose Reyes plays in every game every year. He has stolen at least 60 bases or more in the last 4 years. He also shows power and allot of hits and at bats.

If you look at the begin of Rickey Henderson career. He and Jose Reyes are about the same in stolen bases in there first 4 full seasons. Rickey Henderson never really had that many season where he played in every game or at least 150 games. He always had allot of walks, which helped him steal and score runs. Jose Reyes on the other hand doesn't walk that much, but does get on base and stole over 70 bases in 2007. With no other then Rickey Henderson been his base running coach, Jose Reyes will steal 90-100 bases in 2008. I see Jose Reyes developing into the base shortstop to ever play in the game of baseball.

Jose Reyes is only 24 years of age, and has a good 16 or 17 years left in this career. I do not see him leaving the mets anytime soon or maybe never. He is there mean man when it comes to getting into scoring position. Reyes is going to be the next base stealing leader in allot of years to come. He will reach the 200 hits a season starting next year and will get 3000 before its over. He will steal more then 1000 bases and come close or take out Henderson's all time record.Thats not for get that he also gets at least 10 triples a season and is scoring 120 runs a season too. He is a all around stud in baseball and will not be stopped.

The mets will win some world series with Jose Reyes behind them.You don't need to hit 45 homers a year to make the world serious. In a way, Jose Reyes reminds me of a more better hit, but same smartness on the base paths of Willie Wilson when it come to triples. Jose Reyes will lead the majors in runs,stolen bases, hit, and batting avg in 20087.
