Software reviews: Neosmart wordprocessor

Ancient writers had to use quills constantly in need of dipping in an inkwell. They didn't know how lucky they had it. Thank you, security features, that take forever to run when I start my computer. I now can't use the thing until an hour after I turn it on. Ink pens? Why do companies manufacture them with legs, and where do they go? But now we have advanced out of the primitive dark ages, and the promise of technology has been fulfilled at last.
Everyone wanted a computer you could turn on and use at once, but few people have one. The alpha smart has easily conquered this problem. The neo smart, my all time fav, and the one I own, takes less than five seconds. Five. Seconds. And I am typing as fast as I want.

Your best writing is the one the computer ate. It is a law like murphy's law. Just accept it, until the alpha smart group came along. The machine saves instantly, automatically. Down to the last keystroke, which means that last great sentence you typed in is saved, even if you walk away and anything happens.
If you don't like revising on that little screen, ( which I don't, it is only about four sentences tall) it awesomely easy to transfer all that writing. you have your choice of a cable, with an USB port, that downloads onto the screen as fast as you could type, or an infrared version.
And the best feature, which I love the most, is the battery life. The incredible, wonderful battery life that outlast that drum beating bunny. (Commercial reference, for those that don't know.) An option of rechargeable batteries is included for a small price, very small, like five bucks or so, or you can just invest in some AA batteries. Which can last seven hundred hours. A laptop can maybe last two, it seems like. Compare that to seven hundred.
It is light, about under two pounds, very durable (I am ashamed to say I have already dropped mine and stepped on it, on different occasions. You'd think an adult could be more careful.) Okay, it is very durable, considering it is a computerized piece of equipment. It survives being banged around in a backpack and tossed about in a truck. Very, very durable. Thankfully.
And the price? Here it comes you think, after hours of pricing lap tops. The neo smart retails for under two fifty, and the dana for about three hundred. Brand new they are cheaper than used archaic laptops on eBay.
The devices are aimed mainly at students, and come with a host of other programs. Check out the website for a complete list.
Great price, durable, saves instantly, long battery life. This little writing toy is perfect for any writer who needs to sneak away on occasion to write.
