Poetry: Heaven and hell

"Torture"

I walk through other dimensions,
performing evil deeds but always with good intentions.
The reason for this is because I'm on a different level,
I have a heart that belongs to God,
but my soul is owned by the Devil.
I descended from heaven,
and I stormed through hell's gate,
but that's where I lost my wings,
because they were seared off when I flew over the flames of fate.
So I battled my way out,
but before I escaped I met another demise,
Satan himself grabbed my halo,
and broke it right before my eyes.
I cried out, "Lord no, I'm sorry!",
as I shed tears of despair.
But it was too late for atonement,
because the desecration was beyond repair.
So I entered the world that day,
an angel from heaven,
but I came from hell.
With scares on my back where my wings used to be,
and instead of my halo I have horns and a pointy tail.
Now some people are frightened by my appearance,
depending on which realm I am traveling through.
And I am doomed to suffer an eternity of torment,
by doing the Devil's work even though it is to God that I wish to be true.
