Poetry: Infatuation

ODE TO THE COFFEE GIRL

Is it the fresh aroma of
"Morning Time Cocktails"
Permeating every pore
Of the little shop on First Street?

Remember old man, you want no whipped cream.

Is it watching delicate fingers
Bang me out four shots of espresso
And steam some 2%
For frothy goodness?

Remember old man, you want NO whipped cream.

Is it that I have one foot
On hardwood floor
And one in last evening's burrow
Still chasing the March Hare?

Remember old man, YOU WANT NO WHIPPED CREAM.

I've got one eye on the biscotti jar,
The other her ink-blood hair
Pulled up, yet wild in your
Purple scrunchy exposing a
Smooth,
Tan,
Perfect neck...
Three beads of sweat that glisten
To accentuate
Just one of her felonious curves

REMEMBER OLD MAN, YOU WANT NO GOD DAMNED WHIPPED CREAM!

Hazel eyes with defined green pitch
And high cheekbones
Turn around quick-fast
Ending the $4.58 peep show
...dirty old man

"Would you like whipped cream on that sir?"

yes please.
