War in Iraq

Reflections: War in Iraq

The Bush neo-cons very effectively beat the drums of war by demonizing Saddam Hussein in the build-up to the pre-emptive invasion of Iraq. With insufficient numbers of solders, American troops have been running in circles for 5 years. The strategic use of lies and fabrications was learned from Israel. The Zionists have consistently prepared plausible story-lines to justify their continuing string of military aggression against neighboring countries. The difference for the US is that our mongering has been far, far away ... in Iran and Afghanistan. Next to Iran?

Americans were initially whipped into a frenzy of anger and fear over potential attacks from possible enemies that never could or would reach us. Instead of focusing on the admitted perpetrators of 9-11, Osama Bin Laden and al-Qaeda, we are deceived into pursuing their enemies namely the secular Baathist Party and government of Sadam Hussein. The vaccum allowed for over 100 militias and insurgencies to sprout up in Iraq. The American recognized government of al Maliki continues to be dysfunctional, rifled with favoritism and corruption. Sectarian ethnic cleansing killed and criminality has taken its toll on Iraqi society.

The Bush war machine has paraded around Iraq. The neo-con strategy enabled al-Qaeda to disrupt relations between Sunnis and Shi'a, by spectacular provocations like the repeated demolition of different sites at the Golden Dome of Samarra. In reaction, the Shi'a took revenge on the Sunnis in mixed areas as well. However, after 4.5 years, it appears that the new counter-intelligence program of arming tribal people is having some success in Al Anbar. Al-Qaeda violence on fellow Sunnis has turned many to oppose it. The Shi'a militias of South Iraq are again targeting each other.
The violence may ebb and flow, but it remains a part of the unfortunate equation.

Part of the purpose of the war in Iraq for Bush/Cheney neo-cons is to keep America off-balance and allow the power elite to dilute our civil liberties and to obtain shameful economic advantages. The loyal minions and retainer wannabes of the neo-con usurpers are hoping to be among the exalted power elite. Although there are still some fanatical agitators overseas, in the US they say there are no jihadist Islamic groups. However, we must dramatically increase military spending from 56% in FC2006 to 65% of discressionary spending in FY2008. The American people voted against war in 2006 midterm elections,
