How old should your child be before they start working? Well this is a question I think that people all across the world are asking themselves. And really I think it has to do with the way a child thinks. And what I mean is. When I was a child of about 10 I always was looking for ways that I could be more like an adult I seen that adults had to make money to survive & also I could see what they got in return for there hard work but there is just something about some children in the way they are made they want to be older & achieve something larger & that is what makes them who they are. My mom & dad let me work as much as I wanted to after school & I worked almost every summer since I was 10 years old & I am glad that my parents let me work at that young age because it let me be who I wanted to be. But on the other hand I had a cousin that is 10 months younger than me & he never did like to work not because he was lazy but he had dreams of other things like tree houses, hunting, riding bikes, & other things that most children like to do & that was great for him he didn't get a real paying job until probably 16 years old but on the other hand his parents made him do the work that had to be done at home. And I think that made him realize what life was really about. He just was happy being what he was at that time. So you as a parent you know your children better than any law or any other restriction! Let your children be who they want to be as long as it is for the good. Well this is just my thoughts for what it is worth. Signing out!
